Christos Karolemeas

PhD Canditate

Christos Karolemeas is a Surveyor Engineer of NTUA - Transport Engineer with a Master's Degree in Geoinformatics. In addition, he is a PhD Candidate at the Laboratory of Transportation Engineering on the Design and Evaluation of Shared Autonomous Vehicle Systems using Agent Models. He has experience in urban and traffic planning issues having participated in more than ten research projects on urban planning, sustainable mobility, walking and cycling issues. Furthermore, he has participated in the preparation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans of several cities in Greece. He has professional experience in spatial data management with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and in the design of traffic maps in CAD environment.

Athanasios Kopsidas

PhD Canditate

Athanasios Kopsidas is a Civil Engineer, PhD candidate of the School of Civil and Surveying Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. His PhD thesis is on transport planning and management of urban transport. Mr. Kopsidas holds an M.Sc. in Administrative Science and Technology from the Athens University of Economics and Business, being the first graduate of his academic cycle. His undergraduate studies were carried out at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, during which he pursued his studies in the field of Transport Engineering. His undergraduate thesis also dealt with urban transport management, while he also completed an internship at the Athens Urban Transport Organisation. His research interests include the development of econometric models in urban transport, complex networks and optimization, in which he has research experience having participated in a research project and published in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences (international and national). He has an excellent command of English and a good knowledge of Italian. He also has excellent computer skills, including Microsoft's Office packages and several programming languages such as Python, R and SQL. He has been a member of the T.E.E. since 2016 and works as a freelance civil engineer.

Eleni Andrikopoulou

PhD Canditate

Eleni Andrikopoulou is a PhD candidate at the Laboratory of Transport Engineering. Her PhD thesis focuses on the investigation of pedestrian movement and walkability characteristics through behavioural factors. She holds a Master's Degree in Geoinformatics with a grade of 9.67/10 (NTUA) and a Master's Degree in Urban & Rural Planning (NTUA) with a grade of 9.25/10, graduating in both Master's Degrees among the best of her academic year (top 2%). She is the author of 10 scientific papers that she has presented in Greek and international conferences.

Alexandros Liazos

PhD Canditate

O Alexandros Liazos holds a Diploma in Surveing & Geoinformatics Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (2020) and an MSc in Management Science and Technology from the Athens University of Economics and Business (2022), while from November 2023 he is a PhD Candidate in the field of resilient transport networks and their response to climate change. His research interests include operations research and algorithms in transport and network analysis, and their simulation in different environments and scenarios. He has been a member of TEE since 2022, and additionally he is working in the I-SENSE team of EPISSE, working as a Scientific Project Manager on Smart Mobility Automated Solutions, participating in projects funded by the European Union. He operates or has previously operated macroscopic and microscopic modelling and simulation software (Aimsun, TransCAD), Geographic Information Systems (QGIS), as well as programming languages (mainly Python), to perform complex operations in the aforementioned software, and to implement network optimization algorithms. He has published (2022) his undergraduate thesis on finding an optimal path in a constrained transportation network in the journal Transportation Research Part D. MSc στην Διοικητική Επιστήμη και Τεχνολογία του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (2022), ενώ από τον Νοέμβριο του 2023 είναι Υποψήφιος Διδάκτορας στο χώρο των ανθεκτικών δικτύων μεταφορών (resilient transport networks), και την ανταπόκριση τους στην κλιματική αλλαγή. Ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα του αποτελούν η επιχειρησιακή έρευνα και οι αλγόριθμοι σε θέματα μεταφορών και η ανάλυση δικτύων,  και η προσομοίωση τους σε διάφορα περιβάλλοντα και σενάρια. Είναι μέλος του ΤΕΕ από το 2022, και επιπρόσθετα εργάζεται στην ομάδα ISENSE του ΕΠΙΣΕΥ, ασχολούμενος ως Scientific Project Manager σε θέματα Smart Mobility Automated Solutions, συμμετέχοντας σε έργα χρηματοδοτούμενα από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Χειρίζεται ή έχει κατά το παρελθόν χειριστεί λογισμικά μακροσκοπικής και μικροσκοπικής μοντελοποίησης και προσομοίωσης (Aimsun, TransCAD), Γεωγραφικών Συστημάτων Πληροφοριών (QGIS), καθώς και γλώσσες προγραμματισμού (Python, C++), για την εκτέλεση σύνθετων ενεργειών στα προαναφερθέντα λογισμικά, και για την υλοποίηση αλγορίθμων βελτιστοποίησης δικτύων. Έχει δημοσιεύσει (2022) την προπτυχιακή διπλωματική του εργασία με θέμα την εύρεση βέλτιστου μονοπατιού σε συγκοινωνιακό δίκτυο με περιορισμούς στο περιοδικό Transportation Research Part D.

Konstantina Derpani

PhD Canditate

Konstantina Derpani holds a degree in Surveying Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with postgraduate studies in the field of Transport from Imperial College of London and in the field of Environment and Development from the National Technical University of Athens. She is active in innovation and applied research in the field of maritime and combined transport through her participation in European programmes and relevant studies at national and European level. Since 2024, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Association of Transport Engineers, as Treasurer of the Association.

Konstantia Kontodimou

PhD Canditate

Konstantia Kontodimou is a Civil Engineer, PhD candidate at the School of Rural & Surveying Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. Her PhD thesis is on the optimization of aircraft operations. She holds an M.Sc. in Management from the London Business School. Her undergraduate studies were carried out at the School of Civil Engineering (NTUA), during which she pursued her studies in the field of Transport Engineering. Her work experience includes construction and consulting. She started working in London and Paris for Alstom where she was involved in rail project management, including upgrading Transport for London's lines and the construction of the Elizabeth line. She then worked at the multinational consultancy firms EY and PwC in Athens focusing on consulting in corporate operations, logistics and supply chain. She now works at the international strategic consulting firm Oliver Wyman, for the New York (hybrid) office, providing advisory services to clients in the transport sector. She is also involved as a researcher in the project "European Bus Rapid Transit of 2030: electrified, automated, connected (eBRT2030)" funded by Horizon Europe. She has an excellent command of English and a good knowledge of French. Angelos Mitretodis

Ο Άγγελος Μητρετώδης είναι Υποψήφιος Διδάκτορας στο Εργαστήριο Συγκοινωνιακής Τεχνικής της Σχολής Αγρονόμων και Τοπογράφων Μηχανικών – Μηχανικών Γεωπληροφορικής του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου. Η διδακτορική του διατριβή αφορά στην ανάλυση τρωτότητας των  συστημάτων μεταφορών. Κατέχει Μ.Sc στην Εφαρμοσμένη Επιχειρησιακή Έρευνα και Ανάλυση από το Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης, όπου ασχολήθηκε με την ανάλυση δεδομένων με εφαρμογές στη διαχείριση κρίσεων. Κατέχει επίσης, μεταξύ άλλων, Πιστοποιητικό στις Διαπραγματεύσεις (CIN) από το Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Επιπρόσθετα έχει διατελέσει σε διάφορες θέσεις ασκώντας διοικητικά, εκπαιδευτικά και επιτελικά καθήκοντα, με πιο πρόσφατη αυτή του τακτικού εκπαιδευτή από το Υπουργείο Προστασίας του Πολίτη σε συναφή με την τρωτότητα αντικείμενα.

Katerina Koliou

PhD Canditate

Katerina Koliou is a Transportation Engineer and Researcher at the Laboratory of Transportation Engineering of NTUA. She holds an Integrated Master in Engineering from the School of Rural, Surveying & Geoinformatics Engineering (2018) and an M.Sc. in Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering, with a major concertation in Transportation Engineering from the Florida Atlantic University (2021). Her research interests focus mainly on traffic studies and logistics. For the past two years, she has participated in several research projects, such as SIM4MTRAN and UPGRADE. The subject of her PhD thesis focuses on traffic state prediction and hybrid modelling by integrating multiple sources of big data.
