UPGRADE focuses on promoting sustainable urban mobility and reducing dependence on private cars in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Its objective is to investigate the transportation needs of vulnerable social groups, with particular emphasis on refugees, and to develop innovative solutions to improve accessibility and urban mobility. The expected outcome is the development of new educational programs, research tools, and transportation planning models that will contribute to creating more sustainable and socially inclusive cities.
